Meet Kelly Maxwell, Owner and Master Stylist

Hi friends, my name is Kelly Maxwell. I am the owner and stylist of Simply Gorgeous Salon in Arden, North Carolina. I was called to be a hairstylist almost 20 years ago and every day I love it more than the day before.

Why do I say I was called to be a hairstylist? The meaning of a calling is a loud cry or shout, a strong urge towards a particular way of life. I was called to it. I was made for it. My heart's desire is to help women see themselves as what they are, which is beautiful. All women are BEAUTIFUL. I believe I was given a divine love and talent for hair.

The Extension Journey

I started adding hair extensions to my list of services in 2016. My first certification was with Great Lengths. That created a snowball effect of many more certifications over the years until I landed upon IBE (Invisible Bead Extensions) in 2021. My heart finally began to soar as I finally felt I found an extension method that I could believe in. No heat. No glue. No damage.

What I Specialize In

Amongst being an extension exclusive stylist, I am also a blonding and color correction specialist. If you want to be a blonde, you are going to want to sit in my chair. I will pay attention to every single piece of your hair while respecting the integrity of your hair. I would love the opportunity to help you achieve whatever goal it is that you have for your hair. All you need to do is sit down, relax, and I will tell you exactly what will look best on you and the plan to achieve it.

Simply Gorgeous Salon is located at 140 Airport Road, Suite D in Arden, North Carolina, just south of Asheville. The salon is intentionally a one-chair experience so every guest gets undivided attention. No double-booking. No rushed appointments. Just careful, considered work by a stylist who takes her craft seriously.

The salon shares its home with Kelly Maxwell Hair Extensions, the wholesale extension brand Kelly built for licensed cosmetologists across the country. Both businesses live under one roof and one mission: honest, quality hair work.
